Accessibility Statement
Arrowhead Fire Protection District (AFPD) is committed to providing equitable access to our services to all Coloradans.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making all State of Colorado services inclusive and accessible. We welcome comments on how to improve our technology’s accessibility for users with disabilities and for requests for accommodations to any State of Colorado services.
As part of our effort, AFPD received a micro grant in Fall of 2024 from the Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) to migrate our existing website to the Colorado.gov platform (this website). This will help ensure the AFPD website meets existing WCAG requirements and builds on a platform to ensure future accessibly support. Our legacy non compliant website at arrowheadfire.org will be redirected here on or before January 31, 2025.
We have completed the initial migration of content from our legacy website. After January 31, 2025, our AFPD.Colorado.gov site will become the official website for the Arrowhead Fire Protection District which includes the Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department and will be actively scanned and maintained for WCAG 2.1 compliance.
